Mauli University Conducted, College of Arts for Women, Beed.  Department of Geography was established in the college during the academic year 1997-98.  Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar taught geography course under Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Marathwada University. Women’s Arts College is located in the central location of Beed city and is convenient in terms of safety and transportation of students. Students from rural areas take admission in the college.  Department of Geography was established in the college with the aim of creating an awareness of geography among the students and creating awareness about sustainable environment among the students by learning about the geographical area.  Beed is a district in the state of Maharashtra, situated on the banks of the Bindusara River in the Balaghat mountain range at the foot of the Sahyadri Mountains on the Deccan Plateau.  Bindusara River is a tributary of Godavari River.  In order to develop the personality of the students and create awareness about the environment, various activities are undertaken under the Department of Geography.  Activities such as educational trips, field visits, geography days, ozone days, tree plantations, seminars, workshops, lectures, various competitions, personality development programs, competitive examination guidance etc. are organized.
